Is Capy QR free?
Yes — completely free, with unlimited QR codes and downloads. No signup, no watermark, no attribution required.
Do I need an account?
No. The entire generator runs in your browser — you can design and download QR codes without signing up.
Will my QR code keep working forever?
Yes. These are static QR codes — the destination is encoded inside the image itself, so the QR keeps working with no servers involved and never expires.
Can I add my company logo?
Yes. Upload any logo (PNG, JPG, or SVG) and click 'Match colors from logo' to auto-theme the QR around it. Error correction is automatically bumped to the highest level so the code still scans reliably.
What QR types are supported?
Twelve: website, plain text, Wi-Fi, contact card (vCard), email, SMS, phone, WhatsApp, location, social profile (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, GitHub, Threads), calendar event, and payment links (PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Revolut).
What formats can I download?
PNG, JPEG, SVG, and PDF — at resolutions from 512 px up to 3200 px. SVG is vector and stays sharp at any size.
Can I sell things made with Capy QR?
Yes — the QR codes you generate are yours, with no licensing restrictions for personal or commercial use.
What if my QR isn't scanning?
Increase the contrast between the dot color and background, reduce background-image opacity, or shrink the center logo. The default settings already use the highest error correction level when a logo or background image is in use.
